Vanessa Ann P. Ong

Vanessa Ann Ong is a BFA Interior Design graduate. With the encouragements of her mentor Lito Pepito and her group mates from Davao Watercolor Society, she patiently nurture her creative skills by joining art related activities in Davao. She is partial to painting subjects like flora and fauna, birds and butterflies, and is more at ease using watercolor and pastel. Her knowledge and exposure to Ikebana arrangements did not only added more positive ideas but also inspired her to utilize it in her creative endeavors. Ong's travels were also great learning process for her, as beautiful scenes she discovered from her trips were very motivating, if not, very inspiring. Her creative journey has opened up more opportunities for her to learning more about Impressionism which deeply influenced her painting style, and appreciates the contemporary mode of painting that contributed much to understanding the totality of the spectrum of art. To publicly impart her artistic ideals and aspiration, she has joined group exhibits in Davao and Manila and had her first solo exhibit in Davao last April 4, 2021 and One woman show in Cebu last April 2,2022.
